    Daily Goodie Box Subscription Review

    January 24, 2017 / No Comments

So you guys know I LOVE subscription boxes. I mean seriously how can you not? A neat package of stuff curated especially for your interests that comes right to your door? It’s like a mini little Christmas or birthday. So when I was asked recently if I would be interested in reviewing the Daily Goodie Box, that was pretty much a slam dunk. I checked out their website  and I appreciated everything I saw. So  of course I said yes! I started out pretty impressed from the second I got the box. It was a box INSIDE a box.  That might annoy some people, but honestly, I thought it was…

    Not your typical Damsel….

    January 11, 2017 / No Comments

I hate selling things. I really, really do. Most people think that marketing and publicity are all sales, but they really aren’t. Marketing is about a message and a brand and it hopefully HELPS sales, but it’s definitely not sales. Talking people into spending money on something is one of my least favorite things to do. Over the holidays, I came across a company that snagged my attention. Damsel in Defense. Don’t you  just LOVE that name? As someone who has worked extensively in human trafficking, I was instantly engaged. When I went to the page and saw the products, I was even further drawn in. Their marketing was on point…

Review: A Perilous Undertaking by Deanna Raybourn

    January 9, 2017 / No Comments

Title: A Perilous Undertaking Author: Deanna Raybourn Genre: mystery, historical Publisher: Berkley Date:  January 10, 2017 Veronica Speedwell is back! And I for one, am utterly delighted.  But before I get into that, let me give a little backstory. Veronica Speedwell is an intrepid young butterfly hunter. Doesn’t sound too exciting does it? But she is so much more than that. Her past, shrouded in mystery, reveals that she is connected much more deeply and highly than she ever imagined. And that’s where we left her at the end of the last adventure. This time around, she’s being called upon by those highly connected folks to insert herself and her…

    December 29, 2016 / No Comments

Semi Scripted by Amanda Heger Genre: Romance Publisher: Diversion Publishing Date November 8, 2016 Marisol Gutierrez is not a fan of big speeches or standing up in front of people. She’s not good in crowds, doesn’t really like to schmooze and hates the idea that she might disappoint someone. December 27, 2016 / No Comments

Lady Ever After by Tamara Leigh Genre: romance, historical, Publisher: Tamara Leigh Date: November 23, 2016 Collier Morrow is a highly successful businessman whose life seems to be perfect. He’s got a beautiful fiancé and other than some family tension with his brother, life is pretty good. Except it’s really not. He’s got some issues making real connections with Aryn (the aforementioned fiancé) and he’s always in competition with his brother. It’s not always friendly either. When you factor in the rock climbing accident that gave him a dependency on painkillers, you can easily see how difficult things have been. Through it all, there’s been one constant – and it’s…
