    August 1, 2013 / No Comments

Recently I had a client mention to me that they had no interest in developing their own website for their company. The reasoning behind this was that they have a Facebook Official Page and that, in their mind, served their purpose. As a financial guru, her husband Jerry spent his life organizing people’s finances and building their businesses on firm financial principles. Then something happened. Review: When Jesus Wept

    July 24, 2013 / No Comments

Reviewed by: Lori Twichell Genre: Historical Fiction Publisher: Zondervan Publication Date: March 19, 2013 The shortest verse in the Bible is often quoted and sometimes bandied about. Jesus wept. It’s simple and sometimes can be put into odd context, but when really considered, it’s powerful. Living here amongst humanity with so much pain in front of him, and the Bible only mentions one time that Jesus wept. At the death of his friend, Lazarus. In this latest outing from powerhouse authors Brock and Bodie Thoene, that one verse is explored, examined, and brought together in a gorgeous story that outlines the beautiful relationship that might have occurred between Lazarus and…

Bullying Part Two: The School’s Responsibility

    June 25, 2013 / No Comments

Recently, I posted an article about bullying. I asked if it had changed or if we, as a society, had changed. I think that this is a really complex answer and I don’t believe that it can be addressed with any measure of value in a series of blog entries. Still, this is my platform and bullying hurts my heart in a personal way, so this is my attempt. My family has dealt with severe and powerful bullying on more than one occasion. A few years ago, a little girl at my daughter’s school decided that she didn’t like my daughter. It happens all the time and unfortunately, it’s something…

It’s chaotic, full of crazy and very often, it’s hard to find peace. I’ve also had many, many Bibles throughout my lifetime. I’ve had study Bibles and women’s Bibles and small ones and big ones and…you get the picture. The Real Life Devotional Bible for Women stepped out of the mold for me. Short, creative devotionals are peppered throughout this Bible – enough for someone to have a new devotional daily (as the title says) and they are wonderful.…
