    What’s your Quarantine story?

    April 28, 2020 / No Comments

Future generations are going to ask us “What did you do during Quarantine?” Twenty years from now, just like those of us who now share our 9/11 stories, everyone will have a Quarantine story. So what will I say? What's my Quarantine story? I'm not sure I know.  Here's what I do know.

    The culture we are creating

    February 3, 2020 / No Comments

by Lori Twichell You  may think you know what I’m going to address in this article. After all, it’s what everyone is talking about today. But you might be surprised at where I’m going with it. Just stick with me – even if things get a little uncomfortable. If the big game last night brought in the viewing numbers that it usually does, over 100 million people from around the globe joined together to watch this extravagant, over the top piece of entertainment. People who hate football tuned in for the commercials and the hype. People who love football obviously had their part to watch. And there was, as always,…

It’s A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (Spoiler free)

    November 25, 2019 / No Comments

From the moment I sat in the seat at the theater, I was ready for home and childhood and....safety. Mr. Rogers was safe. Always. Oh please don't screw that up. Right now, of all the things in my life, I need the peace, healing. Safety. Even though I didn't realize it when I bought the tickets to the movie, I desperately needed to sit in a dark theater and just be, well, loved for a couple of hours without judgment. I needed this movie. I think a lot of people do.

    Let’s Talk about John Crist

    November 11, 2019 / No Comments

Christians: Kanye West is probably faking it. We're gonna need solid proof that this transformation is real and we shouldn't just support him just because he claims Christianity. He could be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Also Christians: wow I'm praying for John Crist in this hard time. It's so hard living under the spotlight and I hope he gets the help he needs. All these hateful Christians need to stop bringing up his past because they're just gossiping. We need to take a good hard long look at ourselves if this is how we act.

Establishing the Work of My Hands….

    March 28, 2019 / No Comments

I had no idea at the time, but that simple ten-minute phone call with a woman whose name I don’t even remember changed everything for me.  That passage resonated with me and for days afterward when the kids were crying or I was second guessing my thoughts to work from home, I would hear these verses in my head.

Road Trips, Childhood Memories and a New Movie….

    May 16, 2018 / No Comments

A new movie that came out yesterday (May 15th!) on iTunes, Amazon and showing in various theaters across the country via Tugg, promises fun, childhood adventure and joy to audiences. Called a “modern-day tale of hope, faith and courage based on stories from the Bible” Beyond the Sun is the first movie to ever feature a guest appearance by the Pope himself! Seriously Pope Francis is in this film! Here’s the trailer: Since the film is about childhood adventures, I thought I’d share one that isn’t necessarily from my childhood – but that of my kids. Last year, I took my three teenagers on a road trip across the country. Just…
