    Redeeming Love Misses the Mark

    January 28, 2022 / No Comments

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I posted and for that, I apologize. We’ve had a lot of big life changes and moves in the past year and it’s meant not as much time for writing here as I would like. At some point I do hope to catch up and get into a more regular posting pattern again. But let’s talk about what brought me back. It can be a luxury sometimes to not have an opinion on something. It’s a relief to be able to just put your head down and do your work and ignore some things. I think in recent weeks and months, we’d all…

Flaws in the Faith Film Industry

    August 18, 2020 / No Comments

It's my belief that we serve the master and creator of the universe. The most creative being ever to exist. Our creativity should be of the highest quality. And with the light, we should be reaching people bigger and better. People should be looking at our stories and asking how they can get more. And unfortunately, that's just not the case.

Journalism vs. Social Media: How Fake News Happens

    May 22, 2020 / No Comments

Let me start this out with a little history. I studied writing in college. I have degrees in both creative and technical writing. As part of those studies, I was required to take every journalism class that was offered. I remember spending one semester in a journalism intensive course with a (four times over!) Rhodes Scholar. That man pushed us hard. There were only 3 or 4 of us in the class so we all got individual attention and he gave no leeway anywhere. He pummeled things into our heads that ranged from how to write a headline to journalistic integrity and investigation. Over the years I’ve been very thankful…

    What’s your Quarantine story?

    April 28, 2020 / No Comments

Future generations are going to ask us “What did you do during Quarantine?” Twenty years from now, just like those of us who now share our 9/11 stories, everyone will have a Quarantine story. So what will I say? What's my Quarantine story? I'm not sure I know.  Here's what I do know.

    Let’s talk Coronavirus…

    March 3, 2020 / No Comments

by Lori Twichell Let’s talk Coronavirus. I’ve been kind of quiet on it other than sharing news stories because this is a local story for me. My news feeds on various social media sites are  split pretty definitively. I have friends who are convinced this is the end of everything and we’re all going to die. I also have friends who believe it’s a full on hoax meant to mess with elections and they are pretty much scoffing at those who are concerned.    Where you stand on the issue doesn’t matter to me, really.  Your opinions don’t change anything about my life or how it’s affecting my family and…

    The culture we are creating

    February 3, 2020 / No Comments

by Lori Twichell You  may think you know what I’m going to address in this article. After all, it’s what everyone is talking about today. But you might be surprised at where I’m going with it. Just stick with me – even if things get a little uncomfortable. If the big game last night brought in the viewing numbers that it usually does, over 100 million people from around the globe joined together to watch this extravagant, over the top piece of entertainment. People who hate football tuned in for the commercials and the hype. People who love football obviously had their part to watch. And there was, as always,…
