Subscription Boxes – Are they worth it?

    July 17, 2015 / 2 Comments

Recently I decided to try something different with my gift giving. Subscription boxes. You see, at my house, I get books in the mail all the time. Sometimes several a day. And my family thinks that’s cool, but that also means Mom is the only one that gets packages to open and at one point, my husband said something along the lines of “You’re the only one that gets the fun of opening those.”  Don’t get me wrong, I would happily let anyone else in my house open the books, but it’s not the same. They know what’s inside and they know it’s not actually for them. That takes a…

    Plumb’s new album: Exhale

    May 7, 2015 / No Comments

I had the privilege of interviewing Plumb a few years ago when I was working with Jill Hart on Christian Work at Home Ministries radio. During that interview, the two of us experienced a blessed connection and I’ve been honored to call her friend since then. I’m excited to share that she has a new album out and of course, it’s fabulous. Once I heard it, I knew that there was no way I could not share this with you! Here’s what she had to say on her Facebook page about it: Hey guys, just wanted to share a personal note about my new album,EXHALE. The title comes from something…

I got to test and review some cool stuff! #JollyVoxBox

    January 27, 2014 / No Comments

As you may have seen on my profile here, I am a member of Influenster. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a cool little website that sends out boxes of products for you to try and talk about. It’s a pretty nice little gig for someone like me who loves to talk about, well, everything. Recently I got my first box from Influenster. It was the Jolly Vox Box and it contained some really cool stuff. Here’s a quick list of everything that was in my box: Puffs to Go Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer Ducklings Mini Rolls Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates Candy NYC HD Color…

Roma Downey and Mark Burnett’s SON OF GOD: The Trailer

    November 25, 2013 / No Comments

Roma Downey and Mark Burnett pulled of a feat in Hollywood last year with their amazing miniseries, The Bible. Now they’re back with a follow up (yes, a follow up) in SON OF GOD, releasing February 28, 2013. It’s the story of the life of Christ, from his humble birth, through his teachings, crucifixion and ultimately, his resurrection – and it looks fabulous! With all the time, effort and love they poured into the miniseries, it appears that they’ve done it again and I can’t wait! Here’s an exclusive trailer: http://gma.yahoo.com/video/exclusive-first-look-son-god-114908407.html?format=embed&player_autoplay=false   What do you think? Are you looking forward to it?

Hello. My name is Lori and I’m addicted to Crock-Pots

    April 8, 2013 / No Comments

A few years ago while juggling my marketing company, homeschooling three kids and assisting a husband who had a severe chronic pain injury, I realized that my family had a problem. We were eating out far more than we were eating at home and we were spinning our wheels where our budget was concerned. I had to make a change. Shortly after I began to research various ways that I could continue to support my (admittedly insane) schedule and yet provide home cooked meals for my kids, I got an invitation to join a group headed up by my friend, Organized SAHM. She had set up a group that would…
