Morning Sex? (warning: graphic image) | Rebeca Seitz’s Blog

    August 16, 2013 / No Comments

Rebeca Seitz is a friend of mine. She is the owner of Glass Road Media Management. Throughout her career, Rebeca has done publicity for authors, films and other entertainment outlets and now she’s managing authors, creating content and working across platforms to maximize the message. As long as I’ve known her, she’s always wanted to change entertainment for the better. A moronic move, but one we (and by “we” I mean Jesus-following folk) have to own. But this wasn’t…

    Biblical Messages in Wreck-it Ralph

    April 3, 2013 / 7 Comments

I love it when you’re watching a movie or television program and suddenly the story line or the characters delve into something that’s a deeper truth. You know, something that’s completely unexpected and probably unintended, but shares a powerful message. I’ve seen Wreck-It Ralph several times over the past few weeks but when I was watching this past Sunday, several things hit me all at once about the story. If you haven’t watched the movie yet, there will be spoilers ahead – so consider yourself warned! Okay – still here? Let’s go.

    Fifty Shades of Indecision

    July 2, 2012 / No Comments

A few weeks ago I nearly hyperventilated when I walked into the grocery store with my 13 year old daughter and found a pyramid of books dominating the central area of the store. Usually this space is reserved for current dvds or toys for summer fun. That sort of thing. This display of books must have been close to nine or ten feet tall and it was comprised of hundreds of copies of the Fifty Shades series. I found out later that they had copies of each book at all 25 checkout lanes too. As I stood there gaping, I watched a young girl of about 14-15 years old run up to…

Fifty Shades of Jill and Lori

    June 21, 2012 / No Comments

So unless you’re living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon right? Huge breakout bestseller that everyone’s reading and/or talking about? Jill and I have both received emails, messages and lots of questions about our thoughts on Fifty Shades in the past few weeks. We thought maybe it was FINALLY time to stop putting our heads in the sand and hoping it goes away.  Let me be honest – you may be surprised. Lori’s Grey: First of all, I’ve got to warn you that because of the subject matter of the book, it’s hard to talk about it without putting out a warning.…
