Full Bio


Lori Twichell began her career in radio, writing commercials and working promotions. Eventually she became on-air talent for a mid-sized radio station in Pennsylvania. During this time, she worked with a variety of international corporations and even created a promotion that increased sales of one company’s product by over 50% in her station’s listening area. Eventually, Lori’s career took her to WCTL radio in Erie, PA – the largest Christian radio station in the region. While there, she developed innovative promotions and worked directly with well-known Christian bands such as the Newsboys and Third Day.

In 1999, Lori switched gears from radio to film, working with Cloud Ten Pictures on the original Left Behind. As part of her work, she created and managed national marketing and promotional campaigns for the movie. Though she started as a volunteer, her performance soon moved her into a full time staff position at Cloud Ten Pictures, ultimately replacing the publicity firm originally hired for the job. Working from home, Lori managed publicity at over 2500 radio stations across the U.S. Left Behind: The Movie went on to sell over three million copies and won the VSDA’s award for “Best Selling Title from an Independent Studio.” Lori’s ideas and efforts cultivated engagement and passion that created grass roots marketing before anyone had ever heard of social media campaigns.

In 2005, the writing side of Lori’s career began to flourish. She was brought on staff with CBH Ministries (formerly the Children’s Bible Hour) where she became head writer for their popular radio drama, Down Gilead Lane. Airing on thousands of radio stations around the world, Gilead was an ongoing weekly adventure that was enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Over the next six seasons, Lori partnered with writers from Focus on the Family and Adventures in Odyssey to create this faith-based family entertainment.

A year later, in 2006, Lori started her own company, Beyond the Buzz Marketing. Since its inception, Beyond the Buzz has run marketing and promotional campaigns with internationally known corporations and networks such as Nike, Lifetime, the CW Network, ABC Family and several NBC television shows.

In 2014, Lori created, developed and wrote the screenplay for A Horse Tale. Picked up and distributed by Lion’s Gate Entertainment, A Horse Tale is a family friendly film that received the Dove Foundation seal of approval.

Through her ownership of two professional book review websites (Radiant Lit and Fiction addict) Lori’s writing skills have also earned her the coveted title of ‘influencer’ in both the Christian and secular publishing markets. Bestselling authors including Ted Dekker, Nora Roberts, and Sophie Kinsella have all sought out Lori’s reviews and/or endorsements for their books. Because of this status and her film background, Lori has had the opportunity to translate several novels into screenplays for both television and film. She has become known in the industry for her expertise on the smooth transition of page to screen.

The past few years has held a flurry of creativity as Lori helped with the development, writing and marketing of INSP’s first original television series, Brush of Honor. She went from Brush of Honor’s freshman season to working with Cachet Entertainment and Sony Pictures on publicity and marketing of their theatrical release, War Room. Lori has continued to work the theatrical releases of several more films and she currently has a television series, a feature film and several made for TV film projects in various levels of development.

In her spare time, Lori gives back to her community on a daily basis. With a husband who proudly served over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, Lori has a strong commitment to military members and their families. She has organized and managed campaigns with a variety of companies to show support for the troops including the Jim Henson Company, NBC, and numerous films and television programs. This has included managing donations of products, arranging visits by celebrities to hospitalized wounded warriors and their family members, and special events for troops and their families.

Lori’s innovative, creative ideas and outside the box thinking continue to keep her on the cutting edge of writing, entertainment production and marketing.  Lori lives with her husband and three kids in San Antonio, TX.
